The first in a new body of work using “ambiguous realism” (it’s real, but what is it?) so that multiple subjects (a pinecone, a galaxy, a microbe, a landscape) are read simultaneously, as relatives. The drawings all have direct sources from nature; concealing the source allows multiple interpretations and suggests a connection between things.
